Blessed independence from evil, from oppression, from lies.

Even Jesus had an independence day, a day when He did personal battle with the enemy of mankind, satan, and won. After 40 days alone, hungry, thirsty, hot, tired, Jesus faced the greatest temptation… To use Gods immeasurable power for personal comfort, for personal gain. But no, our Savior stood firm using the power of written truth against the lies and temptation of satan. Jesus gained independence that day, free from the harassment ! Free from the lies! Free from the voice telling Him to serve himself. Satan left! Then… Angels ministered.

Do you face temptations? Lies? Voices crying out to rebel against God? To serve yourself? To get ahead? To just give up? There can be a victorious independence day! Be set free when satan leaves! Turn to the one true God, the one who made you, loves you, who died for you. Let His truth set you free and you will be “free indeed”.

Written scripture is powerful and valuable. Jesus used it Himself against satan. Jesus did not argue, negotiate, plead, nor even speak of his own accord. Jesus used the truth of written scripture, and satan left. Then angels came. Freedom, independence day!

Turn to God and the bible in your lowest hours. Trust in the words that spoke light into existence. Trust in the one who knows you better than you know yourself! Find Independence in Him, and be free forever!
